Betty, Bimbo and Koko the Clown demonstrate a number of unusual gadgets at "The Big Invention Show". Their devices include a spot remover that cuts out a stain, a cigarette snuffer, a soup silencer, a typewriter helping to eat corn on the cob, a voice recorder, and a self-threading sewing machine. When the latter goes out of order and sews tightly everything it finds on its way, Betty and Bimbo escape with the help of an umbrella.

Bimbo pretends he is a fortune teller and shows Betty her fate in a crystal ball. Some ghosts appear from the ball then and chase the friends until Bimbo and Betty trick them into falling off the cliff.
