Betty and Freddie perform in an old-fashioned melodrama. When they are kissing in the park, a villain suddenly shows up and ties up the hero. The rascal captures Betty and tries to escape in his balloon, but Freddie frees himself from the trap, catches the villain and rescues the girl.
